I drove to Nelson Falls and walked up for a look before finding a camp in an old Quarry beside the Lyell Hwy

11-2-23:
I headed up the highway stopping at Donoghy Hill for a walk up to the lookout on a rocky outcrop.









then crossed over King William Saddle.

I drove to Lake St Clair Lagoon for a look at the unique Dam

On the same lagoon is the old Pump House.

After a nice Hot Shower at the Lake St Clair visitors centre I declined the 30 dollar hamburger and opted for the chips and a cappuccino ... both terrible.
I took the walk out to Platypus Bay and back via the Aboriginal trail which had nothing of any cultural significance except a few expensive signs saying Aboriginals may have use this sort of land to walk through or may have lit fires in the area etc etc ... waste of time.

I then headed out to Laughing Jacks Lagoon past an interesting wooden pipeline but found the lagoon almost dry and not nice to camp so i headed back to a reservoir i spotted on the way out and had an awesome little camp there.

Heading South East i spotted a Cairn indicating the Geographical Centre of Tasmania at Bronte Lagoon.





I passed a few Hydro Power stations along the way
